This is our take on the famous k47 capsule popularized by the Neumann U47. It replaced the m7 and was intended to be easier to manufacture. But, as it turned out, the K47 was also difficult to manufacture... It consisted of a single backplate with mylar on each side, which made it difficult to match the two sides. Hence, the k67 was designed with separate backplates joined together with screws, allowing the two sides to be easily matched.
Our version of the K47 benefits from these design enhancements. We use the same hole pattern as the original K47 but with 2 separate backplates, combining the lovely tone of the K47 with the manufacturing advances of the K67.
As with all Heiserman capsules, the HK47 is machined and assembled in the USA.
The HK47 ships with (1) additional capsule wire, and (2) mounting screws.
